Yay. Yay. The man I talked to was very nice, very helpful and sympathetic. I put up with it for a few weeks because I loved the coffee maker so much.
Works beautifully (just don't pack the pod too tightly - it'll cause the holder to fill with water and drip). He and his wife can each customize their own cup of coffee.I also have a Keurig B70 which works fine, but if you don't use their K-cups, you really can't get a good cup of coffee out of it. I loved it, but when it started spitting out random amounts of water I was a bit miffed. But it was going to take a few weeks (maybe up to 6.). I plugged it in, primed it and have been enjoying my coffee maker immensely ever since.
I also bought a pod maker so I make my own pods with whatever I want in them. After a few minutes of button pushing, he said he would have to RMA it & send me a new one. because they were a little backed up. The only way to get a good strong cup is from their K-cups.
I had an MCP that was about 1.5 yrs old. I love it. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting good quality coffee that tastes fresh every time. I recommended this machine to my boss - he bought one for home & loves it as well. He sent me a return label, postage paid, back to Bunn & I packed up my precious MCP and shipped it back FedEx. I can't justify the waste (throwing 6 or 8 of those plastic cups in the trash every day) or what I thought was extreme expense.Go for the Bunn. But finally called Bunn customer service to try to troubleshoot the problem.
Yes it's a little pricey, but it's well worth it. Boo. Much to my surprise, 10 days after I shipped it off, a brand new one arrived on my doorstep. Trust me, I tried - the My K Cup (weak) and the Pod Holster (weak). Great machine, great customer service.
It started to leak and then just stopped working. *******EditBunn has promised to send us a new unit because we were so close to the warranty period. That one lasted until December 2007. Bunn quickly sent a replacement. I have to say that hands down the Bunn MCP made the best coffee I have ever tasted but it is something I am going to learn to live with out. It makes wonderful coffee but it will begin to leak and customer service is awful. It cost $199 and I had a amazon $25 coupon. Those were very expensive cups of coffee.
********March 27 It has now been over 6 weeks since we sent in our broken Bunn and no replacement has yet arrived. I miss the coffee but after reading similar comments here and the fact the unit is now selling for over a hundred dollars more than I paid for it I will not be purchasing another. Our first Bunn we recieved in January of 2006 and it was broken right out of the box. I think this is wonderful. By the time I heard back from Bunn - I used the trouble shooter on their site - it was January 2008. We made about 3 cups a coffee a day. Beware if you purchase this coffee maker. I would not purchase again.
UGH>>>>my dream coffee machine is now a nightmare.I know Bunn will correct this, but for now I am totally frustrated. So I pick up the phone a few days ago, and they take down all my information without any questions and tell me they are going to send me a pick up label, and that it may be months before I get this back.
Was so excited to have a coffee maker from BUNN finally (have wanted one for years) and the fact that I could make tea or coffee, and could have one cup and not waste a whole pot at any given moment.I set it up according to the brochure, and the first cup was GREAT. I have had this item for about 2 weeks.
I have to do this over and over just to get a full cup of tea/coffee.I emailed the company with no response. Amazing how hot the water gets in an instant, and you have a cup of fresh brewed coffee literally in the snap of a finger.I use this for tea more than coffee and began to notice that each time I use this the water level gets lower and lower.
Now into our 2nd week, I press 12 oz and barely get 4 oz. I was told that there is a defect in this machine that they cannot figure out at this moment.
Seems that they would have tested the product enough that they would have found this defect before it was put on the store shelves.
(The Bunn now sits idle in one of my kitchen cabinets). I bought this, thinking I would get a high end, single serve coffee maker that would be convient. Perhaps this has nothing to do with the coffee maker, and more to do with my laziness, but, if you're like me, and looking for perfection.I'd pass on this, and get something programmable - with a large pot if neccessary. Instead, I was just very disappointed. The coffee quality is questionable, the pods are hard to find, and I end up going to Starbucks instead. Get the coffee maker that provides the best taste, because thats whats counts most. Hope this helps.
best one out there. works perfect every time. you can make one cup after another, reheating water tank is large and heats up very, very fast.
